This Puma Tufted chair model was developed for use in a real-time online configurator, allowing customers to explore material and finish options interactively—an increasingly valuable tool for brands looking to enhance engagement and streamline the sales process.
I began with a high-quality 3D scan and rebuilt the geometry in Modo, carefully retopologising the mesh to ensure it was both highly accurate and optimised for real-time performance. The model was delivered ready for integration, with UVs laid out for flexible material swapping within the configurator environment.
To support the project and demonstrate the model’s potential, I created a set of high-quality renders using Octane Render. Materials and environment assets were sourced from trusted libraries including Megascans, Poliigon, and Greyscalegorilla, with custom touches like a dirt overlay on the leather to add subtle realism.
Using 3D and real-time configurators not only reduces the need for physical prototypes and traditional photography—it also enables faster product launches, richer customer experiences, and more cost-effective marketing across digital channels.
