Long standing client Free Range Egg Farms came to us with a need to support a national product launch for Ecoeggs. The existing modest site was hand built in HTML and would no longer support the expanded requirements of a modern website for a popular national consumer product.

The project was built on the Squarespace 5 platform as it enabled rapid prototyping and provided a robust and flexible framework ideally suited to our needs. Ecoeggs can make content updates, or review comments and statistics through a simple web browser interface and a slick iPhone app anytime, anywhere.

We are all happy that there are more and more free range eggs on the market, but that posed two problems for Ecoeggs. One being the ability to differentiate from competitors and secondly to reassure consumers that Ecoeggs are a genuine product. We suggested a webcam on the farm could potentially help address both concerns in one hit. Special cameras were installed on the farms, viewable via the website's streaming player. We coined it ChookCam and designed a dedicated page in the site to integrate the live stream and allow instant feedback from viewers. And they love it!

A growing range of delicious recipes, regular news and a dynamic FAQ and forum helped keep customers engaged with the brand on a regular basis.

We even added some custom wallpapers that proved popular with customers who like beady eyed chooks.
