Tasks: Website design and development, copywriting, product research and support.
Puzzle: Support national launch and increase public involvement and product differentiation.
Solution: Promote brand transparency and product authenticity through ChookCam, a live controllable webcam stream from the farms, and a new website with open discussion and information to back up claims.
More to come soon!
Long standing client Free Range Egg Farms came to us with a need to support a national product launch for Ecoeggs. We had an existing website with lots of information, but as a conventional HTML site updates required expertise and specialised software. It was also difficult to integrate now common elements such as visitor comments and a blog.

So the project was built on the Squarespace platform as it enabled rapid prototyping and provided a robust and flexible framework ideally suited to our needs and that only required moderate customisation. Many updates can be made through simple web browser interface and a slick iPhone app allows comment moderation and approval anytime, anywhere.

We are all happy that there are more and more free range eggs on the market, but that posed two problems for Ecoeggs. One being the ability to differentiate from competitors and secondly to reassure sceptical consumers that Ecoeggs are a genuine product. We suggested a webcam on the farm could potentially help address both concerns in one hit. He contracted local company Captivaction to install cameras and provide the streaming player. We coined it ChookCam and designed a special page in the site to integrate the live stream and allow instant feedback from viewers. And they love it!

We also engage fans through Ecoeggs new Facebook page and Twitter. Social media channels allow for more dynamic and relaxed relationship with customers. And serve as a useful mechanism to keep them informed of updates and status of the new ChookCam and weather down on the farm.
